This lack of offense was one of the risks of being so young, after all the changes after last season. It also does not help that so many of the key CBJ leaders (Jenner, Atkinson, Dubinsky) have been hurt in the early season. But still we need to remember the CBJ is still the youngest team in the league if I am not mistaken.
But the biggest problem now is Wennburg, the guy who supposedly is our #1 Center has completely disappeared. Until he started doing the job he did last year the offense and PP are going nowhere fast.
The question becomes what offense is out there we can get on the market. Right now I still have no problem with going with this group, but it seems to be more and more obvious the GM is going to spend some draft picks and young players to get more offense up front. The D is great, Bob is playing on another planet, but if the offense plays like it has been, especially against Carolina when they were pylons in a construction zone all night, then we are in big, Big, BIg, BIG trouble.

Agreed, it's great and all Bob saved the house on Saturday, but this trend is alarming. You can't win with one goal games, something has to give. My thought has always been to try and get Wennberg and Panarin going together , chemistry needs to be developed , it's rare two players gel right off the bat. But again, Torts is not a patient man and right now loading his two first lines with grinders (Jenner, Andy ,Duby , Motte) won't solve anything. Jarmo needs a center, not first line but a center .
